During my early teens I went to spend a couple of weeks in Crawley with Auntie Leah and Uncle Ken. Auntie Leah and I spent a memorable day at the Chelsea Flower Show where we found a black Pansy , a flower I have tried to find since. During the evenings she spent many hours embroidering a bell pull with British garden birds on. I remember thinking how beautiful it was. This inspired me to take up Danish Cross stitch, she gave me a magazine that didn’t contain any English writing but many pattens, many of which are now on walls around family houses. Thank you for showing me such an enjoyable hobby Auntie Leah.
